Why a Boutique?

I founded GEP Legal Counsel, PLLC (“GEP”) to have unrestricted freedom to serve my private clients through a model designed with their specific needs in mind: a long-term, trust-based, and cost-transparent model.

Serving as legal counsel to the same enterprising family for more than 12 years has taught me that private clients need not only competent legal advice —they also need to completely trust their lawyer to seek, embrace, and meaningfully execute that advice. But such deep trust is rarely built in a single transaction or sporadic representations, or when there is turnover among attorneys managing their legal affairs.

As a solo practitioner, I now have the freedom to focus exclusively on long-term engagements —an important foundation for trust and efficiency— and offer continuity, strategic vision, discretion, and personalized services with the cost transparency that private clients desire.

At GEP, there are no unnecessary layers of advisors reviewing the same documents. No billable-hour targets. No multitude of lawyers learning about their personal affairs.

Here, the goal is simple: to earn and maintain my clients’ trust by offering sophisticated, cohesive, and tailored legal advice, respecting the complexity of their affairs, and balancing and aligning their multiple goals.

With over 20 years of experience in BigLaw and as in-house counsel, and a deep understanding of corporate, tax, trust, investments, and corporate governance matters, I’m confident I deliver the kind of legal advice private clients deserve.
